Poolside Volunteers

Our poolside helpers and assistant coaches support the delivery of club sessions under the supervision of our qualified teachers and coaches. Whilst a knowledge of swimming is beneficial the main requirements are to be enthusiastic and passionate about the development of all club members. We also welcome support from any qualified teachers and coaches who wish to supplement their club experience.

What do we Expect from Poolside Helpers?

  • To assist with the set-up of the pool for club training sessions and ensure all equipment is correctly stored away at the end of the session.
  • To follow the instructions of the coach / teacher to support the delivery of the session.
  • To be aware of the safety of the session at all times, ensuring the poolside is tidy and any health and safety risks are reported to the coach or appropriate personnel.
  • To make sure that swimmers have the correct equipment needed for the session such as pull buoys and floats.

(You need to be at least 14 years of age)

Being a poolside helper could involve on-going weekly responsibilities and attendance at training sessions.

Young Volunteer Programme

Bramcote SC also encourage our swimmers to participate in the Young Volunteer programme. The Young Volunteer Programme is run by Swim England and is made up of 3 modules; Leadership & Club Management, Events and Officiating.  Sessions are run at various times throughout the year.  To find out more, click on the link below and speak with your coach.
